Sporting Schools Programs

Sporting Schools is an Australian Government initiative designed to help schools increase children’s participation in sport.

As a Sporting Schools program provider, Fit4Kids helps your students to live active lifestyles through physical activity.

Funding comes from the Australian Government’s Sporting Schools grants, making our programs free to children, their families and your school.

We deliver five exciting Sporting Schools programs:

Lacrosse

Give students an exciting introduction to one of the fastest growing sports in the world through the ‘Quick Stix’ program. Simple to learn and fun to play, lacrosse develops children’s hand-eye coordination and encourages quick decision-making.

Softball

‘Softball Batter Up’ introduces children to the fundamental skills of the game through modified games that ensure maximum participation and enjoyment. Perfect for newbies to the sport, this program improves physical fitness, mental alertness and encourages teamwork and cooperation.

Touch football

The dynamic game of touch footy is one every child can play, regardless of ability, experience or gender. Through a series of coaching sessions, your students will learn to dodge and defend with the best of them.

Athletics

Teach your students sporting foundations by empowering them through athletics. Running, jumping and throwing are key to most sports. Children will develop their skills and have a lot of fun doing so.

Hockey

‘Hookin2Hockey’ is designed for primary school-aged children to learn the game and perfect their skills through modified games.

Dance

Your students will love this fun, creative dance class that incorporates jazz. Set to upbeat, modern (and appropriate!) music, this energetic class helps to enhance coordination, encourages movement and increases fitness levels. Our dance program is aligned to the current PDHPE syllabus to reach the objective outcomes.

About Dance Teacher Molly Rayward

Having studied dance since she was a toddler, sharing the skill with others was a natural progression for talented Molly. With four years teaching dance under belt already, she not only has the technical flair but the coaching skills, too.

She’s currently in her third year of primary school teaching. The eisteddfod favourite has accumulated numerous prizes over the years and has also completed levels three to 10 in the Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus. We love Molly’s skill and passion for dance and her desire to share that joy through our program.
